MASCOT brings sustainability message to the EMF Champions League

MASCOT connects the excitement of the EMF Champions League with practical messages on sustainability, climate awareness and responsible sport

MASCOT brings sustainability message to the EMF Champions League

The EMF Champions League provides a strong platform to show how minifootball can support sustainability and climate awareness. Through the MASCOT project, EMF is using the visibility of major minifootball events to connect players, clubs, supporters and local stakeholders with practical messages on greener sport.

MASCOT is based on the idea that sport can help accelerate social and environmental transformation when sustainability is made visible, simple and engaging. Around the competition environment, the project can communicate practical actions that are relevant for teams, organisers, supporters and the wider minifootball community.

The project promotes the Race to Sustainability Toolkit, an augmented reality experience, training activities, workshops and public engagement actions. These outputs are designed to help sport organisations understand sustainability not only as a policy objective, but as something that can be applied in real event settings.

By linking MASCOT to the EMF Champions League communication channels, EMF strengthens the European visibility of the project and helps transfer its messages beyond one country or one event. The goal is to inspire clubs and stakeholders to consider how greener choices can become part of future minifootball culture.
